Birchington have won The Bernard Annand Trophy 2010.

Birchington won the Bernard Annand Trophy. Don Arthur, Roy Lee, Tom Blair, Alan Back, Malcolm Munson, Dennis Flint, Andy Mitchell and Dennis Winch played at Herne Bay on 5 September on a breezy day with sunny intervals. The semi-finals were played in the morning when Birchington beat New Romney by 45 shots to 29, with both rinks winning. Dane Park were beaten by Aylesham. A buffet lunch was enjoyed by all players of the Trophy (for unbadged players) and Memorial Shield (for badged players or past winners of the Trophy) and visitors. In the afternoon after a close fought match Birchington beat Aylesham by 43-37, one rink won and the other lost by 3. Dane Park finished 3rd. A formal dinner was enjoyed by everyone followed by presentation of the trophy and shield.

Well done to the Birchington players who played in the finals and any other players who played in the previous rounds to get us to the semi finals.
